In this role, you will be essential in delivering outstanding customer service and assistance to patients as they navigate their healthcare experiences. Your responsibilities will range from helping with appointment bookings to addressing inquiries with understanding and professionalism, ensuring that every patient feels appreciated and cared for. Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties for Success
- Respond to incoming calls, assessing how to assist the patient or directing them to the appropriate service area.
- Input patient data, arrange appointments, and log interactions within the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Recognize calls that require escalation to clinical personnel or management and ensure timely routing.
- Record requests for medication refills and test results.
- Handle incoming correspondence and fax communications in line with company guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with other relevant departments to guarantee seamless care coordination.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience throughout the organization.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Skills That Foster Success
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- 2-3 years of experience in a customer service role within a call center environment.
- A positive demeanor and a willingness to learn EMR systems - experience with EMR is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.
