About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Specialists. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, operating CR and DR x-ray equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures within assigned areas, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Operate CR and DR x-ray equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Review necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures, including patient charts and medical staff instructions.
  • Participate in the training and instruction of new staff, promoting team growth and professionalism.
  • Accurately enter and bill charges for procedures, and type demographic patient information into PACS.
  • Contribute to an effective quality management and quality control program, monitoring Quality Assurance activities in accordance with department guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of radiology (two-year course).
  • Valid Connecticut X-ray technician license and ARRT registration.
  • Minimum two years' experience as an X-ray technician, with orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Working Environment:

This role is based in a medical office environment, requiring physical ability to perform job-related duties, including lifting, bending, and exposure to body fluids.
