Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients in an inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Age and Culturally Appropriate Medical Nutrition Therapy: Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines and the Nutrition Care Process to deliver high-quality care to patients.
  • Coordinate Patient Care Plans: Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless delivery of clinical nutrition services.
  • Review and Modify Patient Menus: Ensure nutritional adequacy and accurate meal delivery for patients.
  • Participate in Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain and advance your knowledge base.
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in committees, attend meetings, and contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a Related Field
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • CT State Dietitian-Nutritionist Certification within 6 Months of Hire
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
Work Environment

This role will be based in a multi-unit office, kitchen, and patient care area environment. You will be required to stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, and lift less than 20 pounds.
