MRI Technologist Per Diem Specialist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Orthopedic & Neurosurgery Specialists. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for MRI scans, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for MRI scans, including setting up equipment and patient positioning
- Operate MRI imaging equipment, including coils and monitoring devices
- Screen patients and personnel for ferrous metal implants and other objects
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during scans
- Develop and implement protocols for scan procedures
- Evaluate scan results and manipulate images for display to physicians
- Process and store images in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- Perform daily quality assurance tests on equipment
- Monitor cryogen levels and ensure magnet integrity
- Document system problems and seek advice from resources as needed
- Graduate of an approved school of radiology
- Valid Connecticut X-Ray/MRI Technician license and ARRT registration
- Minimum two years of experience as an MRI Technologist
- Orthopedic and/or neurological experience preferred
- Ability to work well under pressure and provide excellent customer service
