Position Summary:

Controls Engineer: Your expertise is essential.

We are seeking a Controls Engineer who will:

  • Analyze and interpret technical plans, specifications, and control diagrams.
  • Conduct hardware and software engineering, along with network-level commissioning for Building Automation Systems on both new and retrofit projects.
  • Evaluate project financials and apply value engineering principles to assess cost implications.
  • Implement existing practices and innovate new processes to ensure efficient controls engineering while delivering outstanding customer service and adhering to regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, and field teams.
  • Develop operational sequences and procedural documentation.

Reporting Structure: The Controls Engineer will report to the BAS Controls Engineering Manager and collaborate with various teams on diverse projects to support our business growth. This role involves interaction with all organizational levels, working closely with Sales for technical project development, coordinating with Mechanical Engineering for design integration, and partnering with field operations and energy teams to enhance efficiency strategies.

Candidate Profile: What qualities will lead to success in this role?

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Automation & Controls (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), or equivalent technical qualifications.
  • 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, or similar design software.
  • Experience in the installation and operation of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction, renovation, or retrofit projects.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $80,000 to $105,000 Annually
