Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Controls Engineer with a strong background in industrial control systems and programming languages such as IEC. The ideal candidate will possess several years of experience in object-oriented programming, particularly in PLC programming adhering to industry standards. Familiarity with CodeSys and software version control systems, especially Git, is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control systems utilizing IEC programming languages, including ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation applications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate control systems with mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and debugging to ensure operational reliability.
  • Document control system designs, specifications, and testing protocols.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field engineers and clients as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with IEC standards for PLC programming.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Understanding of industrial automation technologies and principles of control systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the CodeSys programming environment.
  • Knowledge of software version control systems and Git.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary.
