The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in elevating the quality of software releases through automation strategies and tool enhancements.

In an agile development setting, the engineer will create and implement tailored testing methodologies to demonstrate measurable improvements in software quality.

Additionally, this role involves automating test scenarios based on critical product workflows to expedite testing during development and release phases, along with performing manual testing when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts
  • Continuously assess and enhance established software processes
  • Plan, organize, and execute testing initiatives
  • Design and refine quality testing protocols; update existing manual tests as needed
  • Define testing objectives and collaborate with the QA Team and other departments to meet project targets
  • Conduct moderately complex functional, application, regression, and integration testing
  • Establish and adhere to quality standards
  • Provide metrics and outcomes from all testing activities to support business decisions regarding the quality of the Viewpoint Software

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in software quality assurance or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • Proven test automation and scripting capabilities
  • Strong grasp of QA methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud and virtualization testing environments
  • Technical proficiency with various business software tools
  • Experience with QA-related tools for requirements management, test management, and defect tracking

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in automated test script development using C#
  • Experience in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery testing environment
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing methodologies

Work Environment:

This position is office-based and requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while effectively communicating with team members and other departments.
