Job Summary

We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Instrumentation Technology courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position, contingent upon student demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering technology and experience in the subject matter to be taught.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at a variety of times and locations, including day, evening, and weekend classes. Instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

The salary for this position is $58.05 per contact hour.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Instrumentation Technology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Associate's degree or higher in engineering technology or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years non-teaching work experience in the subject matter to be taught
