Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Energy and Manufacturing Technology courses at various times and locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field and be able to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including those related to process technology, and will be expected to utilize a course syllabus and submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.

The Adjunct Faculty member will also be responsible for meeting with students, advising them on their progress, and evaluating their performance to ensure they are meeting course objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Energy and Manufacturing Technology courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Meet with students, advise them on their progress, and evaluate their performance
  • Utilize a course syllabus and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community

Requirements:

  • AAS degree or higher and 3 years work experience in the field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to diversity and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people
