Job Summary

We are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Energy and Manufacturing Technology courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the field and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Teaching Energy and Manufacturing Technology courses at various times and locations
  • Creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilizing a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

  • AAS degree or higher and 3 years of work experience in the field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to diversity and inclusion
