Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Business Administration courses. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in management/business/administration or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in management/business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. They will also submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner, utilize a course syllabus for each course, and meet with and advise students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.

The Adjunct Faculty member will evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress. They will also maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community, and attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.

The successful candidate will have mastery of course content, demonstrated leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints. They will also have the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, and a commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.

The work is sedentary, and the employee will sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

The salary for this position is $53.82 per contact hour.
