Senior Access Control Specialist

Position Summary:
The Lead Security Systems Technician plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and support of access control systems. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in system installations or a related field. Continuous education in areas such as audio, video, security, and lighting is essential. Proficiency in interpreting architectural plans and job site documentation is necessary, along with foundational skills in wiring and connectivity according to low voltage standards. Strong troubleshooting abilities are vital, as well as basic computer skills, with an emphasis on becoming adept with ServiceNow software. Attention to detail is critical, especially concerning the placement of key components and system wiring.
Primary Objective: To ensure high-quality installations and an exceptional customer experience while adhering to industry standards and completing projects efficiently and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of onsite installation for access control systems.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to align on timelines and expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager and technical support team lead.
- Examine sales orders, product lists, and scope of work before equipment deployment.
- Configure, program, and set up networks, control systems, cameras, and NVRs.
- Showcase system capabilities to clients and make necessary programming adjustments on-site.
- Provide daily updates to project documentation and work orders within job management software.
- Ensure accurate time clock entries and job costing.
- Make informed decisions and take responsibility for Time and Materials.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Travel locally to various job sites as required.
- Deliver training or communicate essential information as necessary.
- Exercise fiscal responsibility for all assigned assets and property.
- Deliver excellent customer service, particularly with high-profile clients.
- Safeguard client confidentiality and ensure network/home security.
- Comply with state and federal regulations, including traffic laws.
Additional Qualifications:
- Willingness to accommodate customer needs outside standard working hours.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 60lbs.
- Ability to stand or stoop for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background check.
- Experience or a security license is preferred.
