The Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is in search of a Cost and Schedule Control Specialist to contribute to the IBCS Full Rate Production (FRP) program.

This role can be either a Cost and Schedule Control Specialist or a Senior Cost and Schedule Control Specialist. These positions are part of the Business Management team supporting the C4MD Business Unit in Huntsville, Alabama.

The specialist will collaborate with various business area personnel to address reporting program challenges and fulfill reporting obligations for the program.

The specialist will engage with program managers, functional leadership, control account managers (CAMs), and business managers to deliver financial support and insights.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Establishes a cost control framework, monitors, and manages costs/schedules for contracts necessitating Earned Value Management (EVMS)
Conducts analyses and generates reports to ensure contracts remain within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and adhere to government cost control standards
Develops program plans to ensure program requirements and statements of work are accurately captured and scheduled
Ensures sufficient funding availability by maintaining precise records of expenditures, overseeing the preparation of expenditure forecasts, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
Integrates contractual modifications into the control system by staying informed of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines, including assisting in the formulation of planning directives
Accountable for the preparation and submission of monthly IPMR CDRLs (Formats 1-7), CSDR Reporting, and CFSR
Collaborates with Control Account Managers (CAMs)
Advises CAMs on EVMS activities, including time-phasing of budgets and forecasts; determining suitable earned value methodologies and performance metrics; estimate to complete analysis and updates, variance analysis research and reporting, EVM trip wire review and analysis, coordinating the completion of monthly EVM documentation
Fosters partnerships with program personnel to support program execution while ensuring compliant EVMS implementation in accordance with the EVMS System Description
Works closely with Global Supply Chain and Huntsville Manufacturing Center in developing and maintaining the cost/schedule baseline and forecasts for both production labor and materials
Conducts and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales forecasts, cash projections, variance analysis, and quarterly financial EACs
Assists in preparing for internal and external audits
Basic Qualifications for Cost and Schedule Control Specialist (Level 2)
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 7 years of business, finance, and/or program control experience
Or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of business, finance, and/or program control experience
OR Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of business, finance, and/or program control experience
Proficient computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Excel capabilities (i.e., working with pivot tables and vlookups)
Must be able to work onsite in Huntsville, AL
Basic Qualifications for Senior Cost and Schedule Control Specialist (Level 3)
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of business, finance, and/or program control experience
Or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of business, finance, and/or program control experience
OR Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of business, finance, and/or program control experience
Experience utilizing EVMS reporting and scheduling software
Proficient computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Excel capabilities (i.e., working with pivot tables and vlookups)
Must be able to work onsite in Huntsville, AL
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with Cobra and SAP
Strong communication and presentation skills to management and stakeholders
Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Experience with production contracts
Prior experience in preparing IPMR CDRLs (Formats 1-7), CSDR Reporting, and CFSR

Salary Range:
$68,800 - $103,200

Salary Range 2:
$84,600 - $127,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Additionally, Northrop Grumman offers a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
