Position Overview

The Senior Information Technology (IT) Specialist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive IT services across various initiatives. This role demands a profound understanding and proven experience in information technology, system administration, and network infrastructure management. The Senior IT Specialist will primarily provide on-site support, ensuring seamless operations and effective problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior IT Specialist will offer both classified and unclassified IT support, focusing on critical networks. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing user accounts and documentation for various networks.
  • Configuring Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Voice over IP (VoIP) systems.
  • Overseeing NTFS File Permission settings and troubleshooting workstation issues.
  • Administering user tokens and certificates for secure network access.
  • Assisting with COMSEC functions, including key management and inventory.
  • Preparing documentation for procurement processes related to essential equipment.
  • Installing and maintaining hardware and software components.
  • Configuring and managing government-issued mobile devices.

Technical Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in both Windows and Linux system administration, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network and application issues critical to operational success.

Qualifications

Required:
  • BA or BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (minimum of four years in IT/System Administration).
  • At least 7 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.

Desired:
  • DOD 8570 certification (Security+, Network+).
  • Experience in IT systems and network administration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
