Position Summary:
The Lead Security Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in the installation and support of access control systems. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation field or a related sector. Continuous education in systems such as audio, video, security, and lighting is essential. The ability to interpret architectural plans and job site documentation is necessary, along with basic wiring and connectivity skills adhering to low voltage standards. Strong troubleshooting abilities are vital, as well as basic computer proficiency to effectively utilize job management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of onsite installation for access control systems.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to align on timelines and project expectations.
- Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager and technical support lead.
- Review sales orders, product lists, and scopes of work prior to equipment deployment.
- Configure and program networks, control systems, cameras, and NVRs.
- Showcase system capabilities to clients and implement on-site programming adjustments.
- Provide daily updates to project documentation and work orders within job management software.
- Ensure accurate time clock entries and job costing.
- Make informed decisions regarding Time and Materials, being accountable for outcomes.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Travel locally to various job sites as required.
- Deliver training or communication to share essential information as necessary.
- Exercise fiscal responsibility for all assigned assets and property.
- Provide exceptional customer service, particularly with high-profile clients.
- Uphold client confidentiality and security standards.
- Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations, including traffic laws.
Additional Qualifications:
- Ability to adapt to customer needs outside of standard working hours.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 60lbs.
- Willingness to stand or stoop for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and background check.
- Experience or certification in security systems is preferred.
