Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a proactive and committed Sanitation Manager for our rapidly growing food production facility.

This crucial position will manage all facets of our sanitation processes, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our production environments in accordance with health and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a sharp attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of sanitation protocols in a food production context.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive sanitation programs and procedures to ensure a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
  • Operate and maintain sanitation equipment to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential sanitation issues and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Train and supervise sanitation personnel, ensuring they are knowledgeable about all cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other department leaders to develop integrated sanitation strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Respond effectively to any sanitation emergencies or outbreaks, coordinating the necessary response and remediation efforts.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in sanitation technology and regulations, applying this knowledge to enhance our sanitation practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sanitation management role within the food production industry.
  • Proven experience in operating and maintaining sanitation equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sanitation standards and compliance requirements in a food production environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including GMPs.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of training and supervising a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to respond swiftly and effectively to sanitation emergencies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in a manufacturing setting.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as industrial hygiene or environmental health, would be advantageous.
