Crisis Clinic is dedicated to providing various telephone-based support services that are free and easily accessible to anyone in our community experiencing crisis. Our mission is to foster resilience and well-being for all by connecting individuals to compassionate support.

Program Overview: The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) department is committed to cultivating a workplace culture that values and respects differences, ensures equitable opportunities for all employees, and promotes a sense of belonging throughout the organization. Position Overview:
As the Equity and Inclusion Program Coordinator, you will provide vital support to the Chief Officer of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, helping to advance our organization's DEIB initiatives. This role is tailored for a professional with some experience in DEIB work who is eager to grow and contribute meaningfully to our mission. You will assist in the coordination and execution of various DEIB programs, policies, and practices, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with internal teams, managing data, and engaging with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program Coordination and Support:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of DEIB programs and initiatives to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
  • Coordinate logistics for DEIB-related events, training sessions, and workshops, including scheduling, participant communication, and materials preparation.
2. Policy and Procedure Assistance:
  • Review and update existing policies and procedures to ensure alignment with DEIB principles.
  • Develop and document new DEIB policies or practices as directed by the Chief Officer.
3. Community Engagement and Partnerships:
  • Maintain relationships with external partners, including community organizations, advocacy groups, and DEIB experts.
  • Represent the organization at DEIB-related events, forums, and conferences as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Human Resources, Training & Development, and Community Engagement on projects and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on DEIB-related matters.
  • Partner with Human Resources on employee relations concerns, assisting with investigations and mediations as needed.
4. Employee Resource Group (ERG) Support:
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to help them achieve their goals.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among ERGs to enhance their effectiveness.
5. Data Collection and Reporting:
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data related to DEIB efforts, such as employee demographics and engagement surveys.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing key insights and progress toward DEIB goals.
6. Training and Education:
  • Support the development and delivery of DEIB training programs for employees and volunteers.
  • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
7. Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Officer, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives related to DEIB as assigned.
  • Develop and update DEIB content for internal communication.
  • Manage DEIB budget expenses.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as sociology, psychology, organizational development, or human resources OR equivalent years of relevant paid or volunteer experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in DEIB work, human resources, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles with a commitment to promoting social justice and equality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and sensitively.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis tools/software is a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to build consensus and community on DEIB issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Working Conditions: Individuals in this position should be able to sit or stand for lengthy periods of time. They will need to wear headsets or earphones as they take calls and attend meetings. They will also need to manage several IT/software platforms at once and function in an environment with moderate noise and distraction.

Assessment Requirements:

DEIB Training Skills Assessment: Candidates for the DEIB Specialist position will conduct a mock training session as part of the interview process to assess their ability to deliver engaging and effective training.

Computer Skills Assessment: A basic Computer Skills assessment will be required to measure computer literacy and skills.
  • This assessment will be completed on the candidate's personal computer.
Technology Requirement:
