Job Summary

Sparta Township Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of our school district.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the district's budget and financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory and code requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to school administrators and staff.
  • Oversee the district's purchasing, transportation, food services, and facilities operations.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and accepted practices in school districts.
Requirements
  • Possess a valid NJ School Business Administrator Certificate.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, Master's Degree and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in budget preparation and administration, and understanding of statutory and code requirements related to school budgeting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Successful experience and knowledge of statutory requirements related to public employment and collective bargaining.
