Position Summary
The Jr. Strategic Planning Specialist will help to define and drive strategic Business Development and Commercial tasks with the CFO and other members of the leadership team for the advancement and growth of Hoermann North America.
The Jr. Strategic Planning Specialist will take responsibility for projects and strategic initiatives defined by the top management and support the projects to a successful conclusion. The selected person will furthermore support the successful execution of high-level administration projects in cooperation with other departments. Projects can be placed in all areas of the company’s value chain and can focus on various disciplines like harmonization, and cost reduction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support commercial projects and initiatives for the restructuring and reorganization of the Group.
- Analyzing and optimizing business operations and processes focused on the topics of sales, marketing, and channel development among other similar topics.
- Create content and process documents as needed on projects.
- Conducting gap analysis for processes and strategic initiatives.
- Work on SAP-related projects.
- Documentation of processes and ensuring group-wide alignment and solicit approval.
- Mobilize and collaborate with businesses and functions to devise strategic initiatives, manage implementation, monitor performance, and support issue resolution.
- Travel with members of the leadership team to other Hörmann locations, distributors, customers, or trade shows.
- Support the formulation of the company’s medium-term strategies, support execution, coordination, tracking, and evaluation according to Hörmann NA’s strategic planning framework.
- Lead strategic business studies that are cross-businesses, Functions, and/or geographies in nature, derive actionable insights, and make appropriate recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Admin, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Decision Sciences or other related fields is highly preferred. A Master's degree in a similar field or an MBA is preferred.
- Min. of 2 years of experience working in a similar role for an international company.
- Min. of 1 year of experience working with SAP or another ERP System;
- Experience within a Mfg. environment is highly preferred.
- The position is based out of US HQ in Sparta TN; the Selected person must be willing to relocate to the local area (Relocation Assistance is provided)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations to upper management and executives.
- General understanding of business development and sales cycles within a manufacturing company.
- Ability to travel up to 30% domestic and international (valid passport required)
