Role Overview:
The Development Director will play a crucial role in shaping REDF's fundraising strategy and implementing plans to reach an aggressive fundraising goal. This position requires a seasoned professional with significant track record of raising multi-million-dollar gifts for non-profit or for-profit organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve revenue goals, including identifying new prospects, cultivating relationships, and soliciting major gifts.
- Cultivating Donors: Work closely with the President & CEO and Board of Directors to cultivate and steward relationships with donors, leveraging their connections to secure multi-year gifts.
- Marketing and Communications: Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop a marketing and communications plan to increase financial resources and visibility of REDF and the social enterprise field.
- Leadership and Management: Provide motivational leadership to a team, ensuring clear priorities and metrics for program success, and measuring progress with a focus on ROI.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a Master's degree preferred in marketing/business or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues effectively and build relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Significant track record (12 years plus) of raising multi-million-dollar gifts/investments for non-profit or for-profit organizations.
- Knowledge and expertise in effectively using technology and social media for communicating with stakeholders and increasing visibility and funding.
What We Offer:
An attractive compensation package with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience.
