About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to spearhead the development and growth of our supportive housing division at Envision Unlimited. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of managing and developing housing projects.

Responsibilities will include overseeing the smooth operation of all supportive housing projects, collecting and reporting data required by funding sources, and staying abreast of affordable housing funding opportunities.

The successful candidate will develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for growing Envision Unlimited's supportive housing portfolio, identifying opportunities for expansion and innovation in housing, and integrating services into each project design.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the overall function of all supportive housing projects created and managed by the division.
  2. Collect and report data required by various funding sources.
  3. Stay aware of all affordable housing funding opportunities.
  4. Develop and execute a long-term strategic vision for growing Envision Unlimited's supportive housing portfolio.
  5. Work with the Director of Supportive Housing and Residential Services to integrate services into each project design.
  6. Nurture relationships with community organizations, zoning boards, housing authorities, communities of care, and other institutions responsible for planning and funding housing resources.
  7. Assemble teams to respond to RFPs.
  8. Negotiate with funders and partners to ensure project success.
  9. Manage development projects through completion and rent-up, and maintain relationships with internal staff, government agencies, investors, and stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Director of Housing will supervise property managers and/or oversee property management contracts, as well as related staff.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or a bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
  • Familiarity with at least one property management software package, such as Yardi.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial planning for housing projects.
  • Certification in fair housing and tax credits.

Compensation and Benefits
