Position Overview

The role of the Project Scheduling Specialist in the Chicago area encompasses collaboration with various stakeholders to develop, maintain, and assess design and construction timelines utilizing Primavera P6, while also forecasting and revising budget estimates.

The ideal candidate will evaluate change orders submitted by contractors, which may necessitate adjustments in both cost and schedule, and will compile project schedule and cost data to accurately represent the overall progress of the projects.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in creating, sustaining, and scrutinizing project schedules is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proven experience in collaborating to resolve project challenges and working autonomously with minimal oversight is necessary.
  • Familiarity with project schedule data extraction, databases, and tailored reporting is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 is a must.
  • Demonstrated capability to conduct schedule evaluations and ensure the implementation of effective scheduling best practices is required.
  • Experience in presenting deliverables and facilitating collaborative sessions is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Physical:

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally and spending prolonged hours in front of a computer screen.


Cognitive:

Strong problem-solving abilities, written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in computer software, and the capacity to read and interpret text in both digital and printed formats.
