Position Overview

The Senior Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the project schedule and its various baselines in alignment with Clayco's policies, client requirements, and ongoing analysis of network logic to ensure compliance with the project team's objectives. This role requires cost and resource loading, incorporating Clayco metrics and general conditions into all project schedules, making report generation and cash flow management critical aspects of the position. All employees are expected to uphold our ethical standards and safeguard the company's resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular updates on the progress of active schedules, collecting necessary data from multiple sources, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors, ensuring all data is approved before being integrated into the schedule.
  • Maintain Project Schedule Baselines in accordance with Clayco's policies and any additional requirements stipulated in client contracts.
  • Generate periodic Performance Reports tailored to specific projects, as well as standard reports such as Critical Activities Report, Baseline Deviation Report, Earned Value Performance Index Report, and Project Cash Flow Report.
  • Conduct cost and resource loading for all Clayco projects, ensuring inclusion of the Clayco Metrics Resource Set for project personnel and General Conditions, with updates on actual costs and resources as necessary.
  • Perform ongoing analysis and validation of network logic to ensure alignment with project team objectives and adherence to Clayco's Standard Guidelines, eliminating unnecessary dependencies that could lead to inaccuracies in total float and criticality.
  • Assist in the preparation of Monthly Schedule Reporting, contributing to the drafting of the Monthly Schedule Narrative.
  • Develop schedules from inception for both proposals and construction projects, emphasizing teamwork in the creation of both types of schedules.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data center projects is highly preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Proven expertise with Primavera P-6 scheduling management system is essential.
  • Project Management experience with a general contractor is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a commitment to continuous skill enhancement.
  • Familiarity with BIM and its application in scheduling and sequencing is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong listening abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • High-quality work output is essential.
  • Willingness to travel as needed; must be a motivated, diligent team player.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Physical capability to navigate job sites, including climbing ladders and multi-floor scaffolding.
  • Able to lift objects weighing at least 30 pounds.
