Healthcare Customer Service Representative

Position Overview:
The Healthcare Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in welcoming, guiding, and scheduling patients and visitors. This position encompasses a variety of administrative tasks to support physicians and clinic personnel. Responsibilities include retrieving patient and insurance information, providing necessary forms for tests or internal communications, and securing required signatures. The representative will input new and existing patient data into the system, manage incoming calls, set patient appointments, and relay messages for all staff members. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and adjusting physician schedules as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients and families in a caring and professional manner.
- Perform patient care activities related to data entry and patient account management.
- Establish payment plans and facilitate the collection of payments.
- Address inquiries regarding insurance claims, disability benefits, home health services, medical equipment, surgical procedures, medical records, and patient referrals.
Qualifications:
Healthcare Customer Service Representative:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: None required; training will be provided.
- New hires are expected to complete the Clinic Core Front Desk Training.
Advanced Healthcare Customer Service Representative:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current representatives advancing to this title must complete both the Customer Service Representative and Advanced competencies before promotion.
