Overview

The State of Florida is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant I to join its team in Tallahassee. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that prioritizes public service and community development.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence preparation;
  • Maintain accurate records and databases;
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Support the Front Desk Receptionist with various duties, including answering phone calls and handling mail;
  • Operate office equipment, such as photocopiers and printers;
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed;
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration or related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; valid driver's license preferred;
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $33,760 - $34,772 annually, depending on experience. The State of Florida also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
