Job Overview

A dynamic family-run office is in search of a dedicated part-time Accounting Specialist to oversee the financial records related to investments in commercial properties. This role requires in-person attendance in a home-office environment. Ideal candidates will possess a keen eye for detail, relevant bookkeeping experience, and a desire for a flexible work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Download and categorize bank and credit card transactions using QuickBooks for various entities.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts.
  • Generate and revise periodic financial reports, budgets, and tax documents utilizing QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of both physical and digital filing systems.
  • Oversee insurance policies for multiple real estate assets and other entities.
  • Prepare and submit annual and quarterly tax documentation and payments.
  • Manage incoming bills, including property tax obligations.
  • Track and record all internal and external loan repayments.
  • Engage in the business aspects of household management.
  • Administer payroll and payroll taxes for a small team of employees.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Advanced skills in QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Ability to work independently with confidence.
  • A degree, certification, or substantial experience in accounting and bookkeeping is essential.
  • References from previous employment are required.

Work Schedule:

  • 20-25 hours per week.
  • Flexible hours available Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
  • This position requires in-office attendance; remote work is not an option.

Compensation:

Hourly wage ranges from $25 to $35, depending on qualifications and experience.
