Job Overview

Thrive Financial Recruiting is seeking a dedicated part-time Accounting Specialist to join a small family office. This role involves overseeing the financial records for investments in commercial real estate. The position is based in a home-office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Download and categorize bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks for various entities.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts.
  • Generate and update financial reports, budgets, and tax-related documents using QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital.
  • Oversee insurance policies for multiple real estate properties.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and yearly tax documentation and payments.
  • Manage incoming bills, including property tax obligations.
  • Track and record all loan payments.
  • Assist with business aspects of household management.
  • Handle payroll and payroll taxes for a small team.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong expertise in QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Ability to work independently with confidence.
  • Degree, certification, or significant experience in accounting and bookkeeping is required.
  • References from previous employment are necessary.

Work Schedule:

  • 20-25 hours per week.
  • Flexible hours available Monday through Friday.
  • This is an in-office position; remote work is not an option.

Compensation:

Hourly rate ranges from $25 to $35, depending on qualifications and experience.
