Position Overview

All American Home Care LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing escrow accounts and ensuring the smooth processing of escrow documents in line with established protocols.

Key Responsibilities

The Escrow Officer will be responsible for:

  • Establishing new escrow accounts and managing the documentation process.
  • Completing real estate escrow transactions by assessing requirements, preparing, reviewing, and distributing closing documents, as well as disbursing funds.
  • Determining escrow requirements by analyzing buyer, seller, and lender instructions.
  • Securing clear title by ordering title reports, addressing title defects, and coordinating the resolution of existing liens and encumbrances.
  • Maintaining accurate records of escrow accounts and handling escrow funds responsibly.
  • Preparing transaction documents by completing necessary forms and reviewing all relevant documentation.
  • Calculating prorated taxes and interest accurately.
  • Finalizing closing transaction documents by assembling and reviewing documents with involved parties, explaining provisions, and ensuring all signatures are obtained.
  • Completing the closing process by recording and filing documents and preparing final closing statements.
  • Preparing HUD/CD statements in compliance with lender instructions and applicable regulations.
  • Closing escrow accounts by balancing and disbursing funds appropriately.
  • Adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Staying updated on industry knowledge through educational opportunities and professional development.
  • Contributing to the organization’s efficiency and reputation by embracing new challenges and exploring ways to enhance company performance.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years directly handling escrow transactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to read and interpret various documents, including operational manuals and policy documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Numerical aptitude for calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and prorations.
  • Escrow Officer Certification or completion of an escrow officer training program is a plus.
