Lead Financial Systems Strategist

Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Systems Manager is tasked with the critical role of managing and enhancing the organization’s financial systems and workflows. This position entails overseeing the infrastructure of financial systems, safeguarding data accuracy, and facilitating financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial systems oversight, project management, and strategic development.
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Systems Oversight: Direct the administration, configuration, and upkeep of financial systems, including ERP and various financial software solutions.
- System Enhancement: Assess and implement improvements to enhance system functionality, operational efficiency, and user satisfaction.
- Data Accuracy: Guarantee the precision and uniformity of financial data across all platforms. Establish and uphold data governance and quality assurance standards.
- Reporting and Insights: Spearhead the creation of financial reports and dashboards to aid in strategic decision-making. Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to identify reporting needs.
- Project Management: Oversee system implementation initiatives, including upgrades, integrations, and new system launches. Work with cross-departmental teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet objectives.
- User Assistance: Offer technical support and training for users of financial systems. Create and maintain user documentation and training resources.
- Regulatory Compliance and Security: Ensure financial systems adhere to internal controls, regulations, and industry standards. Develop and enforce system security measures.
- Vendor Relations: Act as a liaison with system vendors and service providers to resolve issues, negotiate agreements, and manage service expectations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is advantageous.
- 7+ years of experience in financial systems management, particularly with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- In-depth knowledge of financial processes, reporting, and data analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, particularly in system implementations and upgrades.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data governance and best practices in system security.
