Role Summary

We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to manage and uphold financial records that reflect the organization's assets, liabilities, income, expenses, tax obligations, and other financial activities. This role will involve supervising daily operations related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and carrier orders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating the month-end closing process, which includes preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, credit card statements, and conducting variance analysis in accordance with U.S. GAAP standards while adhering to a strict closing schedule.
  • Assisting in the month-end closing activities by recording accruals, preparing journal entries, and reviewing General Ledger transactions for accurate expense categorization.
  • Supporting weekly reconciliation of bank accounts and the general ledger.
  • Preparing internal financial reporting packages for departmental heads.
  • Reconciling W-9 information and reviewing annual W-9 reports for all employees and vendors.
  • Analyzing travel and expense accounts.
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure compliance with vendor setup requirements and resolving invoice processing issues.
  • Addressing vendor inquiries and investigating payment discrepancies to maintain current account balances.
  • Coding invoices, facilitating the approval process, and maintaining vendor documentation.
  • Executing additional ad hoc tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Background in telecommunications is a plus.
