Position Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Staff Accountant who will be responsible for preparing and maintaining comprehensive financial records to monitor the organization's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax obligations, and other financial activities. This role will involve overseeing the daily operations of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and carrier orders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the month-end closing process, which includes journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with US GAAP standards while adhering to a strict closing schedule.
  • Assisting in the month-end closing activities by recording accruals, preparing journal entries, and reviewing General Ledger transactions for accurate expense classifications.
  • Supporting weekly bank and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Contributing to the preparation of internal financial reporting packages for departmental heads.
  • Reconciling W-9 information and reviewing annual W-9 reports for all employees and vendors.
  • Conducting analysis of travel and expense accounts.
  • Collaborating with vendors to ensure compliance with vendor setup requirements and resolving invoice processing issues.
  • Addressing vendor inquiries and investigating payment discrepancies to maintain current account balances.
  • Coding invoices, facilitating the approval process, and maintaining vendor documentation.
  • Performing additional ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly intermediate Excel skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Telecommunications-related experience is a plus.
