Infrastructure Project Coordinator

Contract to Hire after 12 months

Work Location: Hybrid schedule onsite 2-3 days/week

Hourly Range: $56-$63 / hour W2

ABOUT MEDIX TECHNOLOGY / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Medix Technology is actively seeking an Infrastructure Project Coordinator for a role with a prominent healthcare organization. This client is recognized as a leading academic medical center, engaging in extensive research initiatives aimed at developing and assessing innovative therapies and medical devices.

This Project Coordinator will collaborate with a team dedicated to technology infrastructure and telecommunications projects associated with new constructions and renovations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Collaborating with architects to interpret design plans and ascertain data, network, and device connection specifications.
  • Overseeing construction projects, including building renovations and relocations, focusing on the coordination of telecommunications equipment, computers, and printers.
  • Engaging with digital relations teams to compile network and device specifications in alignment with current standards.
  • Meticulously preparing network configuration documentation to fulfill routed-edge requirements, detailing jack IDs and device specifics derived from as-built drawings and patch panel schedules.
  • Requesting IP addresses following the acquisition of MAC addresses.
  • Facilitating VPN access requests.
  • Conducting surveys of IT closets in partnership with network specialists.
  • Performing wireless surveys as necessary.
  • Managing departmental relocations concerning telecommunications and computing equipment.
  • Coordinating device deployment initiatives, ensuring proper oversight of internal clinical information systems during rollouts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in healthcare IT infrastructure, particularly with construction projects, renovations, or relocations involving telecommunications and computing equipment.
  • Proven track record in leading projects related to construction, expansion, or equipment relocation.
  • Detail-oriented individual capable of translating building requirements into comprehensive spreadsheets for network configuration, as well as conducting onsite audits with contractors to ensure accuracy.
  • Mid-senior level professional with a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to execute at a program level while maintaining hands-on involvement in project verification, such as data jack labeling and readiness for device deployment.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred, and PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Experience coordinating the installation and testing of medical devices or imaging modalities is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Service Now is an additional benefit.
