Your Responsibilities

As a Project Engineer at Skyline, you will be instrumental in driving complex commercial construction projects to fruition. Your role will involve:

  • Participating in job walks and coordinating building access.
  • Preparing and qualifying bids.
  • Documenting meeting minutes and weekly status reports.
  • Tracking and reviewing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples, procurement, and cost management.
  • Completing project start-up and close-out documentation.
  • Assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily project management tasks.
Desired Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 2-4 years of experience as a Project Engineer with a commercial general contractor.
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably with coursework in Construction Management.
  • Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling, BlueBeam, Procore, PlanGrid, and CAD.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to read architectural and engineering plans.
  • Basic understanding of project estimating and scheduling.
  • The capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Adaptability to meet project needs for successful outcomes.
