Primary Responsibilities:
- Project Strategy: Formulate and oversee detailed project strategies, encompassing timelines, financial plans, and resource distribution. Ensure alignment with client goals and industry benchmarks.
- Team Leadership: Direct and manage project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to facilitate smooth collaboration and implementation of construction tasks.
- Client Relations: Act as the main liaison for clients, fostering strong relationships and providing consistent updates on project status, challenges, and achievements.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, track spending, and ensure that financial objectives are achieved. Identify and address potential budget overruns promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all construction activities meet the organization's quality benchmarks and comply with the specific demands of retail, automotive, healthcare, and dining projects.
- Risk Assessment: Recognize potential risks to project timelines and budgets, and devise strategies to mitigate these risks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Compliance Management: Ensure that all projects adhere to local building regulations, safety standards, and industry-specific guidelines, particularly in healthcare and food service sectors.
- Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive and precise project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and progress reports.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively tackle and resolve any challenges that arise during the construction process, minimizing disruptions and maintaining project flow.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction, particularly with large-scale retail, automotive, healthcare, or dining projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be accepted.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of commercial construction methodologies and industry-specific regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on-site in various conditions and navigate through construction environments.
