Key Responsibilities

Construction Project Leaders are responsible for overseeing cost management, accounting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. Essential duties include:

  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring the project's Cost Report is accurate and consistently updated using ProCore.
  • Preparing Pay Applications with assistance from a Project Accountant.
  • Conducting weekly team status/progress meetings with team members and stakeholders.
  • Providing a project schedule to outline when each task will be executed.
  • Performing estimates and quantity take-offs using appropriate software.
  • Clearly communicating expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Effectively managing project scope by ensuring any changes are documented and approved.
  • Tracking and reporting project milestones.
  • Ensuring subcontractors adhere to their safety protocols.
  • Organizing and archiving all project documents upon completion.
