POSITION TITLE:
Elementary Education Administrator

REPORTS TO:
Principal of the School

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports the principal in delivering elementary educational programs to guarantee that every student in grades K through 5 receives an optimal educational experience within a nurturing learning atmosphere.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties

Assists the principal in managing school operations and conveying any updates impacting the execution of assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Evaluates, motivates, and suggests enhancements regarding the instructional and extracurricular programs aimed at improving learning outcomes and maximizing student engagement; aids educators in formulating classroom management strategies.

Collaborates with the principal in establishing school objectives that align with district goals and policies.
Participates in the assessment of candidates and the selection of potential members of the teaching and support staff.

Assists in reviewing staff performance to enhance the instructional program and determine re-employment eligibility.

Takes a proactive stance on necessary disciplinary actions for students requiring individual attention.

Supports the principal in creating the master schedule and grade reporting; assists in preparing reports requested by district supervisory personnel and/or external agencies.

Engages in monthly Parent-Teacher Association meetings and other related PTA initiatives.
Facilitates the transition program for students moving from elementary to junior high school.
Contributes to the development of the annual budget for the school's educational initiatives.

Positively and accurately represents the school to the community; participates in professional development activities to enhance competencies across all areas of responsibility.

Demonstrates a proven track record of enhancing student achievement.
Experience working with diverse student populations.
Acts as an instructional leader for the school, driving continuous academic improvement.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Marginal Duties
Organizes student council and school spirit club for participation in district-wide student activities.

Delivers daily announcements to all staff and students via the public address system and performs routine clerical tasks as needed.


PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Physical and visual activities or demands typically associated with the execution of the functions of this role.
Standing, walking, sitting, speaking, and listening.
Normal attention with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less as well as 20 feet or more is required.
Light physical demands with regular lifting of very light to light (1 to 25 lbs.) items by hand.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the execution of the functions of this role.
Typical office conditions with occasional exposure to the outdoor environment for recess duty.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Comprehensive knowledge of an advanced and professionally specialized discipline or other studies not available in undergraduate programs, involving advanced theoretical knowledge within a specialized field.

Equivalent to a Master's degree.

Experience:

Requires a minimum of three to five years of successful elementary classroom teaching experience; along with practical experience in instructional management, effective teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.


Skills and Abilities:


Utilize principles of rational systems to address practical problems and navigate a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
Perform calculations involving discounts, interest, profit and loss; commission, markup, selling price; ratios, proportions, and percentages.
Demonstrate reading, writing, and speaking abilities at an intermediate level.

Possess the ability and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues, parents, community members, and school organizations; must exhibit positive and effective interpersonal skills.


Tools and Equipment:
Computer and related software, including internet access, fax, and copy machines.
License(s)/Certification(s)

Required:
Elementary Principal's Certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
