Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders in students, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, to help them achieve their communication goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs and provide regular progress updates.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure and Certification: Valid Missouri Speech-Language Pathology license, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and Missouri State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience: Experience working in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
