JOB SUMMARY:
The primary objective of this role is to enhance student learning by assisting them in acquiring knowledge and skills essential for their growth into competent and responsible individuals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Promote Student Learning.

- Conducts classes as assigned at specified times and locations.

- Encourages students to uphold standards of conduct within the classroom.
Key Activities:
- Regularly assesses student performance and provides necessary progress reports.
- Identifies learning challenges faced by students, collaborating with district specialists as needed.
- Maintains comprehensive and accurate records in compliance with legal and district requirements.
- Available for educational discussions with students and parents outside of regular instructional hours when necessary.

- Strives to embody the district's educational philosophy and objectives through teaching practices.
- Ensures the safety of students, equipment, and materials.
- Assists in enforcing district policies and develops fair classroom management strategies.
- Coordinates tasks for aides and volunteers, providing constructive feedback on their performance.

- Participates in staff meetings and contributes to committee work as required.
Education - A Bachelor's degree along with a valid Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teaching Certification.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- Capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive educational environment.
- Maintains confidentiality and adheres to district policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, communicate, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily works in a classroom setting with occasional outdoor responsibilities.
EQUIPMENT USED:
Utilizes personal computers, copiers, and calculators.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: None required.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Assigned to a 190-day work calendar with a minimum of 36 hours and 40 minutes per week. Compensation and benefits are provided as per district policies.
