The Corporate Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role within the Partnerships for Parks' (PfP) Volunteer Program, reporting directly to the Corporate Engagement Manager. This position is focused on enhancing the involvement and visibility of corporate volunteer efforts in New York City's parks. The coordinator will oversee corporate service days, cultivate collaborative relationships among corporate volunteers, NYC Parks personnel, and community stakeholders, and contribute to fundraising initiatives that support PfP.
Compensation$48,000 - $55,000 annually
Key Responsibilities- Act as a primary coordinator and liaison for Partnerships for Parks' citywide corporate volunteer program, working closely with corporate groups and NYC Parks staff as directed by the Corporate Engagement Manager.
- Provide motivation, oversight, and hands-on support to corporate volunteers during park beautification initiatives, including horticulture, painting, and cleanup efforts across the five boroughs.
- Collaborate with Parks staff to identify priority projects and locations, securing necessary approvals for corporate volunteer activities, including staffing, scheduling, and project specifics.
- Manage budgets, procure supplies, and offer logistical support to ensure high-quality experiences for corporate volunteer projects.
- Disseminate information regarding the corporate volunteer program to Partnerships for Parks, City Parks Foundation, and NYC Parks staff, ensuring alignment with Parks objectives and city regulations.
- Enhance relationships with existing and prospective corporate partners while developing initiatives to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of corporate volunteers.
- Foster and expand connections with community park organizations, identifying opportunities to align corporate resources with community needs.
- Document project outcomes through reports and presentations.
- Assist with It's My Park events and other PfP initiatives as required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in volunteer management, event coordination, or sponsorship/fundraising/sales.
- Exceptional customer service, public speaking, and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to work outdoors year-round, even in challenging weather conditions.
- Ability to engage with diverse groups, both internally and externally.
- Self-starter with the capability to work independently and initiate projects.
- Preferred experience in horticulture and/or park maintenance and stewardship.
- Possession of a valid NYS Driver's License and the ability to drive within New York City for project supply logistics is preferred.
- Familiarity with Google applications is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is preferred.
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
