Garden Spot Communities is seeking a dedicated and compassionate DayBreak Program Coordinator to join our team.
About the Role:The DayBreak Program Coordinator will be responsible for supervising and coordinating volunteers, helping to develop and implement daily programs for individual participants, and creating and distributing activity materials. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with participants, families, and staff.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate volunteers to ensure effective program delivery
- Help develop and implement daily programs for individual participants, including participating in care planning
- Create and distribute activity materials, including calendars, newsletters, and menus
- Build professional relationships with participants' families and communicate necessary information effectively
- Lead or delegate program activity leadership to program assistants
- Provide personal care and directly interact with participants
- Assist with dining services, including finalizing menus and sharing with families
- Take incoming inquiry calls, conduct tours, and provide program information to prospective clients
- Work closely with activities team members from other care areas of the community
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree or two years' experience in Human Services
- Skills to work with aging adults and adults with functional impairment
- Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, interpersonal relationships, and communication skills
- Ability to carry out a therapeutic activity program
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications and driver's license
