Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Volunteer Program Manager to join our team at Women In Need, Inc. As a key member of our Volunteer Services department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of volunteerism, including recruitment, screening, onboarding, placement, and recognition.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volunteer management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective volunteer recruitment and retention strategies to meet the needs of our organization and the community.
  • Manage and coordinate volunteer events, including logistics, communication, and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteer groups, community organizations, and corporate partners to secure support for our programs and services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to volunteers, clients, and staff, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for all.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Volunteer Services to develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, and strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs and services, making recommendations for improvement and expansion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as non-profit management, community development, or social work.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in volunteer management, with a strong background in recruitment, retention, and program development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce, with experience using volunteer management software a plus.
