As a key member of the Volunteer Services team at Women In Need, Inc., the Volunteer Program Coordinator plays a vital role in the administration and management of volunteer programs, in-kind donations, and other projects. This position requires strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
The Volunteer Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating training, onboarding, and supervision of volunteers, leading virtual and in-person orientation presentations, and supporting volunteer operations and placements across the organization. This role will also involve managing relationships with individuals and groups of volunteers, coordinating volunteer events, and fostering close relationships with Win Programs, Development, and Operations staff.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Win's mission, vision, and values, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to efficiently handle multiple projects at once. Previous volunteer and/or customer service experience is preferred, as is proficiency with MS Office and Canva.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the organization's mission. The Volunteer Program Coordinator will work closely with the Manager and Director to ensure the success of all Volunteer Services programs and will be responsible for ensuring that all volunteer programs and in-kind donations adhere to best practices of trauma-informed care and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate training, onboarding, and supervision of volunteers
