About the Role

The Tax Credit Specialist will support the Paycom team by providing full service of the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Program, from implementation to calculating credits on behalf of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and process Tax Credit applications, including mailing submissions to State Workforce Agencies and filing with various states that use an electronic submission process.
  • Organize mail to ensure compliance with IRS submission guidelines.
  • Update employee statuses daily on the Tax Credit Dashboard to provide clients with real-time data.
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails from Paycom personnel and clients in a timely manner, maintaining effective communication and coordination.
  • Process incoming determinations from State Workforce Agencies.
  • Monitor Tax Credit Department email notifications and inbox.
  • Obtain missing information on agreements and POAs, as well as manage and calculate billing reports and statements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience working with computer systems, HR experience, or related fields, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization and timely completion of projects.
  • Detail-oriented with a record of low error levels.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computers, specifically Microsoft office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various department functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
