Job Summary

The Accel Talent Group is seeking a highly skilled Aerial Data Collection Specialist to join our team. As a Sensor Operator, you will be responsible for operating various aerial sensors to collect high-quality data for various projects, such as mapping, surveying, and reconnaissance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Monitor Aerial Sensors: You will be responsible for operating and monitoring aerial sensors during flight to collect high-quality data for various projects.
  • Pre-Flight, In-Flight, and Post-Flight Checks: Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight sensor equipment checks to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with Pilots and Crew Members: Collaborate with pilots and other crew members to ensure accurate and efficient data collection.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze collected data and provide timely reports to clients and internal teams.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot sensor equipment as needed to minimize downtime and ensure accurate data capture.
  • Adhere to Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures during flight operations.
  • Compliance with Aviation Regulations: Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards during all operations.
  • Data Collection Processes: Document data collection processes and maintain accurate records for quality assurance.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in relevant fields (e.g., GIS, remote sensing, aviation) is preferred. 2+ years of experience in sensor operations, data collection, or a related field preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with aerial sensors and data collection technologies. Strong technical and analytical skills, with attention to detail in data collection and reporting.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with pilots and other crew members. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain sensor equipment as needed.
  • Travel and Work Environment: Willingness to travel and work in various locations, including remote areas.
