Make a Difference as a Blood Collection Specialist

The American Red Cross is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Blood Collection Specialists. In this vital role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the availability of blood for patients in need.

About the Role

As a Blood Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with every step of the blood collection process. This includes collaborating with your team to transport and set up equipment at various locations, interacting with donors to ensure a positive experience, and performing blood draws accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain blood collection equipment and supplies
  • Greet and register donors, providing clear instructions and answering questions
  • Perform blood draws according to established protocols and safety guidelines
  • Monitor donor well-being throughout the donation process
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. Prior experience in phlebotomy or a related field is preferred but not required. We offer comprehensive training to all new hires.
