  • Recipe Testing and Modification: Continuously test and refine recipes to ensure consistency and excellence in presentation and taste.
  • Team Leadership: Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to prepare high-quality pastry and dessert dishes.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that all necessary ingredients are available to meet menu demands.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure that all pastry-related activities comply with food safety and handling policies, and maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Special Orders and Events: Develop and execute special pastry and dessert menus for events and parties, ensuring that they meet the high standards of THE INN AT RANCHO SANTA FE.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in Baking/Pastry Arts preferred.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in volume production of baked goods and pastries.
  • Skills: Ability to work as part of a team, excellent communication and leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize.
