Job Summary

Yale University seeks a highly skilled Compensation Consultant and Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our compensation team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and administering compensation programs that align with our university's objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and design compensation programs, including base pay and bonus awards, to ensure alignment with university objectives.
  • Develop and communicate pay structures, grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Advise business partners and managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines.
  • Evaluate jobs and develop and maintain job descriptions and job architecture to ensure accurate compensation decisions.
  • Participate in compensation surveys, conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends to inform compensation decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Best practice knowledge of Excel and data analytics.
  • Best practice knowledge of market pricing and benchmarking jobs.
  • Best practice knowledge of HR policy administration.
  • Best practice knowledge of job evaluation.
  • Best practice knowledge of market job survey administration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Compensation Professional from World at Work.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
