Position Overview
Are you a seasoned professional in State and Local Taxation eager to contribute to a dynamic team? This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about leveraging their expertise to navigate complex business challenges and adapt to evolving tax regulations.

As a Senior Analyst in State and Local Taxation at ASSA ABLOY Americas, you will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, supporting the state tax reporting functions for our expansive US Consolidated Group, which generates revenues exceeding $8 billion. Success in this role requires close collaboration with internal finance teams and the cultivation of existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of state separate and combined corporate income and franchise tax returns for various domestic legal entities using OneSource tax software.
  • Support the preparation and filing of quarterly state income tax estimates and extensions.
  • Maintain accurate state apportionment schedules.
  • Contribute to the computation of the state tax provision.
  • Conduct research on various state and local tax issues relevant to the business and monitor changes in state tax laws.
  • Assist in resolving state tax notices and liaising with state tax authorities.
  • Gather data for responses to state income tax audits.
  • Provide additional support for corporate tax projects as required.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in state income tax.
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting.
  • Experience with a Big 4 firm is preferred.
  • CPA and/or MST credentials are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OneSource Income Tax software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong tax research capabilities, proactive attitude, and goal-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
