Position Overview: As a Lead Financial Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in the formulation and evaluation of departmental financial performance metrics. Your expertise will be crucial in overseeing financial analysis initiatives and managing comprehensive budgetary frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts thorough analyses of departmental financial variances, ensuring accurate recording of financial data.
  • Develops and maintains cash flow statements, budgetary assessments, and financial forecasts.
  • Analyzes budget discrepancies and presents findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Leads and mentors a team of financial analysts, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Facilitates the creation, oversight, and management of operating budgets.
  • Advises department leaders on budget modifications and cost-saving strategies.
  • Generates accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Prepares documentation for year-end audits and financial closings.
  • Ensures compliance with federal tax reporting requirements.
  • Oversees the performance of the financial analyst team.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is essential.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in healthcare finance and budgeting, preferably in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a readiness to learn new software tools.
  • Strong typing, organizational, and detail-oriented skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, budgetary practices, and financial analysis.
  • Capability to monitor, audit, and reconcile diverse financial data and budgets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
