ROLE OVERVIEW

As a key member of the Boston Consulting Group's Global Compensation Centre of Expertise (COE), you will play a vital role in shaping the strategy, management, and enhancement of compensation programs for consulting teams, knowledge teams, and business services. Your contributions will be essential in managing benchmarking, designing compensation structures, and conducting compensation reviews, which support managerial decisions across various BCG organizations and cohorts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Compensation Analytics:

  • Develop comprehensive analyses and presentation materials for stakeholders and leadership teams to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Assist in establishing processes and frameworks for efficient workflow management within the COE, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries and requests from global offices.
  • Contribute to significant initiatives across the spectrum of Global Compensation COE activities.

Benchmarking and Compensation Reviews:

  • Conduct thorough benchmarking utilizing diverse market data sources. Generate and finalize compensation reports, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Compensation Advisors and HR Partners to review, update, and design salary ranges and structures.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Proficient in data modeling and analysis.
  • Ability to present complex datasets in an easily digestible format.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative.
  • Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to navigate complexity and ambiguity effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree or MBA is advantageous.
  • 3-6+ years of experience in corporate and/or consulting compensation, demonstrating career progression.
  • Ability to drive analysis and processes with minimal guidance.
  • Familiarity with reward practices, particularly in benchmarking and compensation modeling.
  • In-depth understanding of various market benchmark surveys.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience with compensation and analytics systems is a plus (e.g., Market Pay, Tableau).
  • Experience working across multiple geographies.
  • Confidence in presenting benchmarking and compensation analyses.
  • Desire to engage with stakeholders effectively.
COLLABORATION
  • Work closely with members of the Global Compensation COE team.
  • Engage with local office HR representatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align compensation strategies.
